Acting as an Agent of Change, IGES conducts strategic research through co-design, co-production and co-delivery of solutions with key stakeholders, generating impact to move society towards a more sustainable future.
IGES launches its Integrative Strategic Research Programme for the 9th Phase (ISRP9) in July 2025, and we will strive to strengthen our integrated approach that looks at environmental, social and economic issues from a broader perspective. ISRP9 has three common focal areas where each research unit collaborates on key issues related to sustainable development. Our aim is to effectively create integrated and synergistic solutions by strengthening cross-sectoral coordination and stakeholder engagement.
To address the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution and realise a society where we can enjoy well-being for all within safe and just Earth system boundaries, IGES will actively propose policy recommendations and disseminate messages that promote social transformation based on our research findings.
