Biodiversity, the variety of life on Earth and all its interconnected ecosystems, continues to be lost at an unprecedented rate.
IGES conducts problem-solving research to support the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and its targets for addressing biodiversity loss, while contributing to a just transition toward a nature-positive world. We promote the mainstreaming of landscape approaches, the assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services, and the use of future scenarios analysis, as well as supporting improvements in supply chain sustainability in the business sector.
