Building a sustainable society requires companies and financial institutions to contribute to solving environmental and social issues through their business activities. IGES leverages scientific expertise and extensive domestic and international networks to encourage businesses to tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. Linking up with business networks such as the Global Compact Network Japan (GCNJ) and the Circular Economy Partnership (J4Ce), we develop and promote guidance for a synergistic approach that addresses these three interconnected challenges simultaneously, as well as providing capacity-building support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local governments.
