The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) has been honoured with the Special Award, one of the categories of the annual Hayama Ethical Awards. The awards are part of Hayama Ethical Action run by Hayama Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, an initiative that encourages activities benefiting the environment, society and the local community.
The Hayama Ethical Awards recognise businesses, organisations and individuals working towards a better future for Hayama and the world. The awards evaluate initiatives based on their impact, sustainability, originality, collaboration and transparency. In 2026, one recipient has been selected in each of the three categories: the Grand Prize, the Excellence Award and the Special Award.
IGES will continue to advance policy research and work towards sustainable practices by collaborating closely with local communities.
